Efforts to Increase Energy Efficiency: Principles of Regulation and Implementation
According to the Regulation of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources No. 5627 on Increasing Efficiency in the Use of Energy Resources, which is made for the purpose of identifying opportunities for increasing energy efficiency and consists of information collection, measurement, evaluation and reporting stages; these are measures aimed at determining energy saving potentials and restoring these potentials through measurement, accounting and Sunday research, and the application prepared by the Ministry are carried out in accordance with the procedures and principles.
Mandatory Energy Survey and Efficiency Improvement Studies
Energy Survey studies are detailed studies in which potential energy efficiency projects and improvement opportunities are determined for each facility, reviews and analyses are made and reported.
- Every four years for industrial enterprises with a total annual energy consumption of a thousand peaks and above,
- Commercial buildings and service buildings with a total construction area of at least twenty thousand square meters or an annual total energy consumption of five hundred hills and above, and a total construction area of at least ten thousand square meters or an annual total energy consumption of two hundred hills and above fifty hills and above every seven years for public sector buildings with fifty hills and above,
It is mandatory to have an Energy Study.
Energy Study studies are detailed studies in which potential energy efficiency projects and improvement opportunities for each facility are identified, reviewed, analyzed and reported.
Mandatory Energy Research is carried out within the scope of the “Regulation on Increasing Efficiency in the Use of Energy Resources and Energy” and the reports are reviewed by the Ministry of Energy Efficiency and Environment.
